Discounted Amount Is Ignored For Tax Calculation In the Realtime
(Doc ID 2355429.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 26, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.16.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Issue is that, in case of a roaming event with discounts, the tax is calculated on the total amount instead of the remaining amount after discount.
Scenario might look like this:
- Make a roaming event (border case) that consumes all of resources and the rest is charged (Euro resource 978 is impacted).
- Product final charge is 4352.40EUR for example, and then this amount is discounted with -3892.5696 EUR from available resources and the rest is charged: 459.8304EUR.
- This amount (459.830) should then be taxed with 22%, so tax amount should be 101 EUR. However tax is calculated according to non-discounted amount 4352.40 Euro, so an amount of 957 EUR was added to event charge because of that.
