BATCH_ITMCOSTCOMPUPD.KSH Batch Ends With Error If The Same Batch Already Has An Error For Respective Day

Symptoms

After batch_itmcostcompupd.ksh is failing, the process will always fail for respective day and it will not execute unless the batch_itmcostcompupd error file is removed from $RETAIL_HOME/error folder.

 

Steps to recreate:

  1. Run batch_itmcostcompupd.ksh correctly. Notice that everything completes successfully.
  2. Run batch_itmcostcompupd.ksh incorrectly. Notice that batch ends with error.
  3. Run batch_itmcostcompupd.ksh correctly. Notice that batch still ends with error.
  4. Repeat step 3, same behavior. Notice that batch still ends with error.
  5. Delete existing batch_itmcostcompupd err file from $RETAIL_HOME/error folder for the current day.
  6. Run batch_itmcostcompupd.ksh correctly. Notice that everything completes successfully.
