A Particular Assembler Application Does not Log To Log Server (Doc ID 2364114.1)

The requests to the live site are not written to the /logs/logserver_output/LogServer.<timestamp> files although the files are generated.
Under /logs/logserver_output directory following files exist but they are empty.
The issue does not occur with preview application.
The preview and live web apps share the "same" assembler context xml.

Ran "ps -ef |grep logserver" command and confirmed that log server for the live application is up and running. The live application's had the correct Log Server host/port defined.
Confirmed with telnet that the live Tomcats "can" talk to the log server over the logging port.
Downloaded the live web app and deployed to Development server.  (The only change was to change the repository.configuration.path in the  ECR was also downloaded from Production.)  This web app running on Development server could write to the Production Log Server successfully.
Updated the logserverHost and logserverPort of logging_functions.jsp of JSP Reference Application and verified it could log properly using Production Log Server. 

Reproducible Steps:
Access live site and browse some categories and check /logs/logserver_output/LogServer.<timestamp> file(s).
