Error: "Bad alias/connection name" When Testing A P6 Professional Database Connection Using The P6 Professional Cloud Connect Driver Type Configured For SAML / SSO

After configuring P6 Professional through Cloud Connect using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) / Single Sign On (SSO), configuring an alias to the cloud connect URL using the Database Configuration wizard generates the following error when testing connection:
"Bad alias/connection name."
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Configure P6 Professional Cloud Connect for SAML.
- Run the P6 Professional Database Configuration and create/update a Cloud Connect alias to connect to the cloud connect URL.
- Note the error which occurs.
