Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In a VCP Instance (Decentralized APS Environment):

Firmed Planned Orders (FPO) are released - and purchase orders are created.
FPOs are retained in the next plan run.  As a result, there is double supply.

1) Launch the ASCP plan.

2) Go to the Planners Workbench (PWB).

3) Firm some of the planned orders.

4) Launch the ASCP plan again, with the 'Overwrite' plan option set to a value of 'None'.

5) Return to the PWB.

6) Release some of the FPOs.

7) Make sure the resulting purchase requisitions and/or work orders get created.

8) Launch the ASCP plan again, with the 'Overwrite' plan option set to a value of 'None'.

9) Return to the PWB.

10) Note that the FPOs still appear in the planning output (even though they have already been released).

Once FPOs get released, then they should not appear in the next plan run.

Excess supplies get created.
