PO Induction Process Is Creating Orders With SYSTEM_OPTIONS.BASE_COUNTRY_ID Instead Of Using Physical WH Location

(Doc ID 2373431.1)

Last updated on MARCH 15, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 16.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When an order is created using Purchase Order(PO) Induction process, Import Country is defaulted from t from the default country setup in SYSTEM_OPTIONS.

RMSSUB_XORDER package performs a validation using the virtual location identifier against the ADDR table, which does not contain any entries associated with a virtual warehouse.

If this occurs, Import Country code will be defaulted to the one setup in SYSTEM_OPTIONS instead of using Physical WH country code.

Steps to reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a PO using induction process.
  2. Assure that SYSTEM_OPTION.BASE_COUNTRY_ID is different from Physical WH Country from address table
  3. Notice that ORDHEAD, IMPORT_COUNTRY_ID will be defaulted with BASE_COUNTRY_ID instead of WH country
