Message-id is Occasionally Not Being Logged in the Transaction Log (Doc ID 2376194.1)

Symptoms


Ims_master is occasionally not logging the message-id to the transaction log.

A couple examples of transaction log entries from ims_master with no message-id (mi=):


index=email_core sourcetype=email_transaction_store "<ma " sn=ims_master mi=* | stats count

- Shows 199,067 events in the last 15 minutes.

index=email_core sourcetype=email_transaction_store "<ma " sn=ims_master NOT mi=* | stats count

- Shows 150.

index=email_core sourcetype=email_transaction_store "<ma " sn=ims_master NOT mi=* | stats count by host

- Shows they are spread out over several backends. So it is not specific to any one user/backend.

It is expected that the message-id would be included in the transaction log.
