Web Service Call updateBPRecordV2 Duplicates Line Item Instead of Updating

When attempting to perform the web service call updateBPRecordV2 to update a Business Process (BP) Line Item, the XML response returns a Status 200 -> Successful
However, logging into Unifier and reviewing the record reveals that a duplicate line item was created instead of the line item being updated.
