Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Smart Grid Gateway Adapter for Sensus RNI - Version 2.2.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On Oracle Utilities Smart Grid Gateway Adapter  for Sensus RNI v2.2.0.1.0 : RNI Sensus payload file records are getting written to the Rejected File directory.

The reason why is that some of the Usage record are missing the Commodity field.  The OSB adapter requires this field to be on all Usage and Event records.  There are also Event records getting written to the Rejected File directory.  This is happening because some of the Event Commodity fields have a value of “L”.  This represents the Commodity Lighting that is now part of the RNI Specifications.

Steps to recreate for Usage Payload errors:

1)    Drop a payload usage file that does not contain a value for the Commodity field
Example:
MEPMD02,20080501,SENSUS,PAMI:034060,,12345678IN,201802181814,1,OK,,SKWHREG,,1.0,,201802181715,1,Total,R0,1563.29
2)    File will be moved to the Rejection/Error directory along with a .RFD file that has location of record in error original drop file.
3)    Payload Error Notification record is created in Notification Queue.
4)    IMD Seeder will not be created.

Steps to recreate for Event Payload errors:

1)    Drop a payload event file that has a value for the Commodity field that is “L”
Example:
MLA01,20150801,SENSUS,PAMI:030000,12345678,RepId:12345678,201802190745,,OK,L,METERDQ,,,1,201802190148,R0,262144
2)    File will be moved to the Rejection/Error directory along with a .RFD file that has location of record in error original drop file.
3)    Payload Error Notification record is created in Notification Queue.
4)    Device Event Seeder will not be created.
