Rounding Issue on Tax Call (Simple Pack) (Doc ID 2378780.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 28, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Fiscal Management - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Explanation using an example:
TOTAL_COST is 2520 in item <ITEMNO>, same as XML (2520.00) and it is correct.
However, this product is a pack, and the calculations are returning with a slight difference due to rounding.

See example:
2520.00 (total) / 18 (pack qty) = 140.00 (unit pack)
140.00 (unit pack) / 12 (qty in pack) = 11.6667 (unit value in component, with round 4 decimals)

In doing the inverse way, where 11.6667 * 216 (18 *12) = 2520.0072, that is what is being sent in total of item.
In this case it will be difference by at least 0.01.
All taxes are calculated based on these calls and with this, will have divergence for bookkeeping/financial because there is rounding to 2 decimal places, where would be sent $ 2520.01.

To Reproduce:
Receive PO at simple pack level and validate it.
