Goal
On all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C), it is possible for a number source to be populated into a Call Context Profile Tag which is not normalized by Advanced Control Services (ACS).
As a result, any attempts to use the number (for populating into Event Data Record (EDR) fields for example), will result in a non-International number which may cause issues with upstream processing/mediation teams.
This article will explain a method of applying normalization to any number without affecting other services.
