Copy BOM From Expanded Display Causes Unwanted Duplicate BOM Item Being Copied (Doc ID 2379577.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

Copy BOM from Expanded Display causes unwanted duplicate BOM item being copied

Expected Behavior

When copying BOM, BOM to be copied exactly

 

Steps

  1. Login to Java Client as admin user
  2. Goto Admin tab > System setting > SmartRules
  3. Set Duplicate ItemNumbers to Allow
  4. Login to Web Client, and create Item, and goto BOM tab
  5. Create BOM with below structure:
    P0001
       L P0003
    P0001
       L P0003
    P0002
    P0003
    P0004
       L P0001
       L P0003
  6. Click Expanded Display, and select All, and Display
  7. Select all the items, and More > Copy. See message 9 rows have been copied
  8. Create another Item, and goto BOM tab
  9. More > Paste
    Result: See 12 items are copied, and duplicate items are added (P0001 and P0004)
