Unable To Import/Create New DAP Templates (Doc ID 2380936.1)

Last updated on MARCH 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In all versions of Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller, it is not possible to create a new Data Access Pack (DAP) template or import a Web Services Description Language (WSDL) file.

Attempts to do so will result in either exceptions in the Java console (when creating a new DAP template):

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-2" java.lang.NullPointerException
  at java.lang.AbstractStringBuilder.append(Unknown Source)
  at java.lang.StringBuilder.append(Unknown Source)
  at com.eservglobal.dap.generatedDbClasses.DapParamsDataClass.toString(
  at java.lang.String.valueOf(Unknown Source)
  at Source)
  at com.eservglobal.dap.generatedDbClasses.DapParamsDataClass.displayDebug(
  at com.eservglobal.dap.DapRequestScreen.updateParameters(
  at com.eservglobal.dap.DapOperationEdit.savePressed(
  at com.eservglobal.dap.DapOperationEdit.access$200(
  at com.eservglobal.dap.DapOperationEdit$6.actionPerformed(
  at javax.swing.AbstractButton.fireActionPerformed(Unknown Source)

or pop-up errors (when importing a WSDL).

Exception parsing WSDL: null

As a result of these two issue, it is currently not possible to create new DAP templates from scratch or import WSDLs to create new DAP templates from.
