Goal

While starting up jgroups we are getting the error message

Mar 15, 2018 1:13:49 PM org.jgroups.protocols.UDP setBufferSize
WARNING: JGRP000015: the send buffer of socket DatagramSocket was set to 5MB, but the OS only allocated 124.93KB. This might lead to performance problems. Please set your max send buffer in the OS correctly (e.g. net.core.wmem_max on Linux)

What should be recommended value for send buffer?
How do we calculate it?
Can we we just set net.core.wmem_max to 5MB, reboot the OS and restart Oracle knowledge? (sysctl -w net.core.rmem_max=5242880) ?
