ECC Classic Constrained Plan Does Not Appear to Honor Fixed Days Supply (FDS) Even If Planned Order Dates Do Not Appear To Be Changed By The High Level Scheduler (HLS) (Doc ID 2390423.1)

On : 12.2.4 version, Constrained planning in Test

Users are on 12.2.4 and have applied VCP patching. They are running an ECC Classic Constrained plan. They are finding in certain cases where Fixed Days Supply (FDS) does not appear to be honored by the plan even though it does not appear the planned orders were rescheduled by high level scheduler (HLS) when looking at the unconstrained due dates. A review of Note 958872.1 - EDD or ECC Constrained Plan Fixed Days Supply Item Attribute Not Working/Honored is understood that HLS might reschedule in some cases and not honor the FDS, but since it does not appear that HLS changed the dates on the example data, it is not understood why FDS appears to not be honored. Example data:

Org = IKN:E85
Item = 406478
FDS = 7

Users started counting days only when there was actual demand which support knew was incorrect. FDS starts calculating buckets from the start date of the plan Plan run date = 06-APR-2018 - past due bucket is 05-APR-2018 Counting for FDS from plan run data plus 7 working days (5 on 2 off calendar) takes us to 17-APR-2018 - total demand in this period was 213. Planned order supply qty = 207 was created and due on anchor date 06-APR-2018. It seems like it's almost correct except for 1 working day difference in calculation of demand/supply in this example

Past due demand total qty = 183
Demand due anchor date 06-APR-2018 = 12
Demand due 10-APR-2018 = 12
Demand due 17-APR-2018 = 6
Total demand = 213
Total supply planned order qty = 207 due anchor date of the plan 06-APR-2018

Delta FDS Supply vs Demand = Total Demand - Total Planned Order Supply = 213 - 207 = 6

Expected planned order total = 213 to match demand

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create items with FDS
2. Run data collections
3. Run ECC Classic constrained plan
4. Review Supply demand output in the ASCP workench
