Cr35240a.sql - SQL Error: ORA-01418: Specified Index Does Not Exist
Last updated on MAY 03, 2018
Applies to:Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
On MSS 6.3.0
Script cr35240a.sql executes a drop index without checking if the index exists. This is done BEFORE and AFTER the spooling opens/closes so it is never captured in the cr35240a.log file, but it captured in the SQL Developer output.
It is not an issue because the index is only used with this stored procedure, however, it is bad form to have misc ORA- errors.
cr35240a.sql - SQL Error: ORA-01418: specified index does not exist .
Issue 2 :
Additionally, there are other scripts which have a commented out text "--ORA-#####" they were commented out in the SQL file but got spooled to the screen, during the upgrade indicating an error which was actually false.
Sample scripts log files:
C:\mss_6.3\MSS.R6_3_0.b555_DBInstall\nsdev\prodfixsql_logs\11829593.log (1 hit)
Line 185: -- -2431, ORA-02431: cannot disable constraint (SE_IN__SE_TE) - no such constraint
C:\mss_6.3\MSS.R6_3_0.b555_DBInstall\nsdev\prodfixsql_logs\19497547.log (2 hits)
Line 99: --ORA-12002: there is no materialized view log on table
Line 102: --ORA-12003: materialized view does not exist
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR :prevent false positive searches through logs and outputs for"ORA-*"
