Outlook Connector - Some Folder Names Do Not Correspond to the Selected Language and Display in English
(Doc ID 2391598.1)
Last updated on MARCH 25, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Connector for Microsoft Outlook - Version 9.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Using Outlook Connector version 9.0.0.2.0 with either MS Outlook 2010 or 2013.
For French customers, there is an issue concerning the mapping of some of the folder names within Outlook Connector and between the real names on the server. For example, "Sent Items", and the display name "Eléments envoyés".
Even if the computer and Outlook are using the French language, the folders "Sent Items", "Deleted Items" and "Drafts" are not displayed in French. The only folder name that appears in the French language is the INBOX.
There exists a file which appears to show the mapping, but it doesn't seem to be working:
C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\Sun\Outlook Connector/sjoc_folders.map
which contains this section:
...
[fr]
INBOX=Boîte de réception
Deleted Items=Éléments supprimés
Drafts=Brouillons
Sent Items=Éléments envoyés
...
One would expect that if the French language is being used, then the folder names would be displayed in French also.
