After Launching DBSETUP.BAT, Nothing Happens (Doc ID 2393703.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

Launching dbsetup.bat does nothing. Double clicking or launching from a command line results in a flash and doesn't launch or the command window closes with no error.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

dbsetup.bat would launch when double clicked or run from a command line.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Double click dbsetup.bat.
  2. See nothing happens.
  3. Open command window, run dbsetup.bat and see command window disappears without an error and nothing happens.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot run dbsetup.bat
