RPM PriceEventExecutionBatch And PriceEventExecutionRMSBatch Batch Issue

Symptoms

On Retail Price Management (RPM) 14.1.2 version, RPM PriceEventExecutionBatch and PriceEventExecutionRMSBatch batch are failing.

RPM PriceEventExecutionBatch and PriceEventExecutionRMSBatch failing with the TEMP tablespace getting occupied (around ~96 GB ) and failing with unable to extend temp space.

Below are the RPM configuration details for PriceEventExecutionBatch in rpm_batch_control table:
Programe name ==> com.retek.rpm.batch.PriceEventExecutionBatch
Threads ==> 20
LUW ==> 10000
CPUs ==> 24

Below are the RPM configuration details for PriceEventExecutionRMSBatch in rpm_batch_control table:
Programe name ==> com.retek.rpm.batch.PriceEventExecutionRMSBatch
Threads ==> 20
LUW ==> 10000
CPUs ==> 24

Data volume Item/loc price extraction of 1.1 million records

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create Intra-day promotions for items more then 20K;
2. Cancel few promotion created in step1 (around 5K);
3. Execute the price event batches and notice above detailed issue.
