HDR Installation Error : Cannot connect to database using Sqlplus! (Doc ID 2398640.1)

On : 7.0.1 version, Installation Issues

When attempting to install HDR 7.0.1
the following error occurs.

Error message: "Cannot connect to database using Sqlplus! Please check database details, make sure SqlPlus is available and try again."

The logfile shows the following:

[oracle@T115PLOHTB01 u04 06:30 PM]$ cat /DB_BACKUP/hdrinstaller/Disk1/stage/ext/scripts/

echo -n "Password:"
read -s password

sqlplus /nolog <whenever sqlerror exit sql.sqlcode;
connect $1/$password@localhost/$2 as sysdba
HD[oracle@T115PLOHTB01 u04 06:31 PM]$

[oracle@T115PLOHTB01 logs 10:23 AM]$ sqlplus sys/Password@localhost/ETS_DATA as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release Production on Mon Apr 16 10:23:19 2018

ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect
