Symptoms

MetaSolv Solution 6.3.0

MetaSolv Solution Utilities client (tbs_util.exe) throws an "Unable to set the 'wotstwtwwoo' role" error for "ORA-01979: missing or invalid password for role" error when attempting to to logon. The behavior occurred in the MetaSolv Solution 6.3 test environment after copying the current 6.2.1 test database and upgrading it to Oracle 12cR1 including all the application's required parameters as well as upgrading it to version 6.3 (prodfix_master.sql and master.sql). Below is the error received when attempting to logon with the client.
