Need To Increase the Number Of Inprogress Orders (Doc ID 2401698.1)

Last updated on MARCH 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications ASAP - Version 7.3.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

There is a need to increase the number of in-progress orders in ASAP due to long outages existing on the network side.

Current configuration in all the 3 ASAP servers:

Current value: MAX_ORDERS_IN_PROGRESS= 10000 (10K)

Proposed value: MAX_ORDERS_IN_PROGRESS= 30000 (30K)

Is there any impact on increasing the MAX_ORDERS_IN_PROGRESS ? During order provisioning activity, if this limit (30K) is crossed (103 state orders > 30K) then new orders will be in 101 or 102 state (with no limit as such) and they will be residing in ASAP. Also, these new orders will not be rejected or timed out to source system ? Once 103 state orders started getting processed then 101 & 102 state orders will move to 103 state to get processed ?
