EBS-PS: How are Unfirmed Jobs Handled in Production Scheduling (Doc ID 2402454.1)

Last updated on MAY 23, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Production Scheduling - Version 12.2.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

 PS 12.2.6

Client wants to know how unfirm jobs are handled in PS. Client's normal process is to change the implement dates on all jobs to be outside of their firm period. In an instance where they miss a job they expect PS would automatically move that job outside of the horizon and time fence when solved (since inside of that is already full and firm).

They are noticing that some jobs are marked as ‘firm range’ and colored it green even though the job shows as not firm in the work order editor.

Example:

Resource OEC303-2

Job 56489077 is not firmed in the WO editor but is marked as ‘firm range’ and colored green.
Job 56489050 is not firmed in the WO editor and is not marked as ‘firm range’ and colored blue.

What causes Job 56489077 which is not firmed in the WO editor to be marked as 'firm range' ?
