Goal

Question 1: In the hierarchy load from stage to dimension table, the load fails if there is no root node (parent value = child value) record in the staging table ? Is there any other way where the out-of-the-box function can determine which is the root node?

Question 2: Is it mandatory to provide the display order number column ? Can the out-of-the-box function derive the display order number based on the parent-child column populated ?

Question 3: In any dimension load process, do we need to always provide the display code values in the base and translation tables.   Can the out-of-the-box function assign the display code values and populate in the dimension tables?
