On Oracle Communications Pricing Design Center(PDC), version, Transformation for PDC

The user is not able to bring RRE and BRE processes using encrypted passwords after changing all the passwords of BRM, PDC, XREF and IFW.

Following steps were followed:

1. Changed the DB passwords of BRM schema, PDC schema, XREF schema and IFW.

2. Updated the "pdc password" in weblogic where PDC is deployed.

3. Started PDC and it is up and running, the customer is able to login to PDC and create pricing objects.

4. Encrypted the new passwords using the encrypt utility at $PDC_BRM/apps/bin.
  Go to location: $PDC_BRM/apps/bin
  Run the command: ./encrypt

Here if the user give the passwords in text format it is working. But the user does not want to enter passwords in text format as per security policy. How to resolve this issue?

Expectation: Be able to start RRE and BRE processes just with the PDC key and it should not prompt for other passwords
