The Name Fields (Project Name, EPS Name, etc.) In Non English Language (e.g. Japanese) Shows Garbled Boxes On P6 Web Classic View (Doc ID 2404325.1)

When loading Classic View (Java Applet) on P6 Web, the EPS Name and Project Name fields populated with Non English characters (e.g. Japanese) are displayed as boxes. The P6 Web Standard View and Professional show these Non English words correctly.

When loading Classic View on P6 Web, the Japanese characters in EPS Name and Project Name are displayed correctly.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log on P6 Web Standard View or P6 Professional, create a project and name the project in Japanese. The project name is displayed correctly in Japanese.
  2. Log on P6 Web and switch to Classic View.
  3. The Japanese characters in Project Name field are displayed incorrectly as boxes.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot view the correct Japanese characters in the Name and some descriptive fields when loading P6 Web as Classic View.
