(Doc ID 2404692.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 19, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
On : 12.2.4 version, Memory Based Planner in PROD:
Users are on 12.2.4 and have applied 12.2.4.1 mandatory VCP patching. They are running an Hub and Spoke planning scenario where they run an MPS/Production plan and then attach it as a demand schedule to an MRP/Mfg plan. Users found when they are in the MRP/Mfg workbench and trying to change a firm planned order to an alternate BOM. They can save this successfully. However when they rerun the MRP/Mfg plan with Overwrite = None, the firm planned order reverts back to the original BOM instead of keeping the alternate BOM they previously chose. Example data:
Item = 45306-02
Org = MAS:RM1
Order number = MPS 107542532
Users Changed the BOM from the primary recipe 45306-02/01 to alternate bom recipe = 45306-02/02 - saved. They reran the MRP/Mfg plan and see the planned order reverted back to Alternate BOM = 45306-02/01
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect the firm planned order to retain the alternate bom recipe after changing and rerunning the MRP/Mfg plan with Overwrite = None
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run MPS/Production plan and attach as demand schedule to MRP/Mfg plan
2. Run MRP/Mfg plan
3. In MRP/Mfg workbench change and MPS firm planned order from primary recipe to alternate recipe - save
4. Rerun MRP/Mfg plan and MPS firm planned order reverts back to primary recipe
