Need Persistent Coupon Code in the Order Object (Doc ID 2406403.1)

Is there a configuration in Oracle Commerce to include 'coupon code' and 'promotion description' on every adjustment object instead of just including a reference?

Oracle Commerce (ATG) creates multiple adjustments objects for a single commerce item depending on how the quantity of the commerce item isaffected/priced because of the promotion.
The application only exports the coupon code and promotion description once in the order XML and then has backward references to it on additional adjustments.
This is true even if the promotion applies to more than one commerce item.

This limits the customer to map order promotions details to SOA/ERP systems, which are used for order fulfillment process.

There is a workaround mentioned in the Oracle Commerce documentation (ATG Commerce Programming Guide > Setting Up Gift Certificates):
"you can persist a coupon code with an order by adding a new property to the Order object and storing the coupon code in the new property."

However, this is not ideal and will only cause additional maintenance issues and hence need an easy way to map coupon/promotion details to external systems rather than having to do custom development.
