PI Response To Unauthorised Host Is Malformed (Doc ID 2407672.1)

Last updated on MARCH 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C) version 6.0.1, the Provisioning Interface (PI) provides a mechanism for manipulating data in the database using an Application programming interface (API). It enables bulk or scripted operations on the data to be completed, where a human operator using the Java administration screens would be inefficient or error-prone.

There is a known issue when the PI responds to an unauthorized host to notify them that they are not permitted to log in, its response is malformed:

This causes the response to be unparseable on the host attempting login. This also occurs using either explicit or implicit authentication.
