Right Click Options Not Displaying as Expected (Doc ID 2408778.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 28, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Network Management System - Version to [Release 1.12 to 2.3]
Oracle Network Management for Utilities - DMS - Version to [Release 1.12 to 2.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Scenario 1:
The Right Click Context Menu is not displaying as expected.

You have updated an environment.
You have configured right click options to show differently depending what is clicked on (empty space, device, outage flag crew, etc).

Now once you right click on something (like a device) then right click in empty space, the options shown resemble what should show on a device. You cannot get the empty space right click to work again until you logout or choose another viewer.

Scenario 2:
Panning out of range of a selected outage throws an error in the viewer.
When the user has selected an outage event or flag, and pans/zooms out of range, a java.lang.NullPointerException is thrown.

1. Open a transformer.
2. Note the RO flag is placed in the viewer for that event, as expected.
3. Select the RO outage flag by clicking on it one time. For example, in the OPAL model, "T14826 (RDO 1000)" will be displayed in the bottom right of the viewer.
4. Zoom out to 1 mi/1 km. Click in white space in the viewer.
The null pointer error is thrown.
