Symptoms

When attempting to upgrade from PFT application pack from 8.0.5 to 8.0.6, there appears to be some issues with the logging for the application pack upgrade.
The installer apparently finished without any major events, but there are a few things that may need to be addressed. In addition, the following error is thrown in the console during upgrade:

ERROR
DMT Upgrade Utility started...
calling.....
ERROR StatusLogger No log4j2 configuration file found. Using default configuration: logging only errors to the console. Set system property 'org.apache.logging.log4j.simplelog.StatusLogger.level' to TRACE to show Log4j2 internal initialization logging.

Summary will be written to : ../log/DMTMigrationUtilityReport.log
Detailed logs can be found in : ../log/DMTMigrationUtility.log

1. The installation pack did not create a "Pack_Install.log" file under the OFS_PFT_PACK/logs. This is generally where we validate for ERRORS, FATAL ERRORS, etc. At this point, we are unable to determine if something along those showstopper events happened.
2. The installation triggers a few java exceptions on the SMSService.log (generally ignorable errors)
3. A "new" logs folder was created under $FIC_HOME
4. Inside the new logs folder, there is a file named ${sys:logFilename} which is really odd.
5. Seems like no AAI-specific activity was done. Is this expected? Does AAI has its own patch for 8.0.6 in addition to the pack?

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Execute ./setup.sh SILENT from 8.0.6 PFT app pack

Changes

Upgrade to 8.0.6.
