Error "Could not find or load main class weblogic.WLST" When Attempting to Launch P6 EPPM/WebLogic via the start_Primavera Script (Doc ID 2411455.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to launch the P6 EPPM/WebLogic server environment by executing the start_Primavera.bat / .sh script, the following error occurs:

The JDK wasn't found in directory C:\PROGRA~1\Java\jre<version>.
Please edit the setWLSEnv.cmd script so that the JAVA_HOME variable points to the location of your JDK.
Your environment has not been set.
Error: Could not find or load main class weblogic.WLST

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Execute start_Primavera.bat / .sh.
2. View the reported error.
