Symptoms
Cisco 6509 switches running IOS have a limitation of 255 IPv6 address family statements that can be enabled on the device. Each time a VRF is created one is generated whether it is needed or not. We would like a mechanism that could be enabled so the empty statements are not sent.
Once the 255 is exhausted we have to manually remove them so the new sites can be added.
