The following issue was encountered in an IPSA 7.3.4 patch 5 environment.
In patch 5, a new error was created for in the messages_default.xml file relating to BGP authentication inheritance:
The error message is displayed correctly, however the commands that caused the error are still being pushed and then the error is cleared.
A summary of the issue and how it came about can be found in this typical scenario:
Create 2 hub & spoke VPNs in IPSA, one with BGP authentication settings set at the VPN level and one without.
Then create a test BGP site with BGP authentication set to 'inherit from VPN'. the site is then linked to an interface on a lab device and given membership to both VPNs. The authentication error is raised in the fault pane but instead of the VPN concrete objects going into a rejected state, the transaction continues, config is pushed to the device, the error message clears from the fault pane and the concrete objects go into an installed state.
