20624 Error When Saving LDAP Server Details (Doc ID 2424563.1)

Symptoms

On OFSAA 8.0.5 While configuring the LDAP, the following error appears when saving LDAP server details:

ERROR
[20624] Error in saving LDAP Server Details

In addition, when using the LDAP Test Utility from desktop, the utility is failing with 'LDAPTest [AUTHENTICATEUSERFORLOGIN]::User Object is null' errors.



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Configuration -> General -> LDAP Server Details
2. Fill in all *required LDAP Configuration: LDAP URL, LDAP Server, ROOT DN, ROOT PASSWORD, User Search Base, User Search Filter, User Filter Classes, Login ID Attribute
3. Click Save
