Cycle Fee Item Mapped To Next Bill Object Instead Of Current Bill Object In Advanced Billing Case (Doc ID 2428173.1)

Last updated on APRIL 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : version, Subscription Management

There is a requirement to configure the products with in-advance billing with X Days or Months. For a customer with in-advance billing product purchased, when billing is performed on the BDOM (billing day of month) the behavior looks fine. Even if billing ran later to BDOM date within in-advance number of days, the behavior looks fine. However, if billing is performed after (BDOM date + in-advance days), the cycle fee items are not mapped to correct bill.

Actual Behavior:

The event/item corresponding to the monthly charge is mapped to next bill object (INCORRECT)
The event/item corresponding to the advanced period is mapped to current bill object (CORRECT)

Expected Behavior:

Cycle Fee should be charged in the current Bill only

Steps to Replicate:

1.    On 20-May-2018, create an account with backdate 23-Apr-2018, BDOM is 23
2.    Purchase a monthly cycle forward (MCF) product with advance billing of 4 days, with cycle fee override amount of $0
3.    Update the purchased product to set the cycle fee override as $3000 and override flags
4.    Run billing on 25-May.
5.    Run billing on 28-Jun
