Error "A communication error occurred: Operation timed out" Clicking The 'Project Activities' Link From The 'Link To Activities' Column Of A Primavera Analytics Analysis (Doc ID 2429162.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
When clicking on "Project Activities" hyperlink within the 'Link to Activities" column of an analysis which should launch a link to the associated activities within P6 EPPM, P6 (web) module, a new browser window opens attempting to launch P6 but generates the following error in browser:

ERROR

Network Error
Details: "A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out
  The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time"

However, the URL is not the correct URL which should be used to access the P6 environment. When adjusting the URL to the correct host:port, the P6 application opens successfully.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
When clicking on "Project Activities" hyperlink within the 'Link to Activities" column of an analysis, the correct host:port combination should open within a new browser tab to access the P6 EPPM, P6 (web) module.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to OBIEE
  2. Click Dashboards dropdown
  3. Click the associated dashboard link which contains the analysis you wish to load and has the "Project Activities" link added
  4. After the analysis loads click the 'Project Activities' link to launch the project activities within P6 in a new browser tab
  5. Note the actual behavior which occurs
