Attempting to Modify the Responsible Manager (RM) For an EPS With a New OBS Fails With "You Do Not Have the Privileges to Save the Project(s)." (Doc ID 2429848.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to assign a newly created OBS to a newly created EPS, the following error occurs:

ERROR:

"Unable to save changes.
You do not have the Privileges to save the Project(s)."

STEPS:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login as a restricted user that has OBS access to a root EPS node.
    1. Global Profile linked with "Add/Edit/Delete OBS".
    2. Project Profile linked with all 'EPS and Projects' Privileges except for "Delete Project Details with Timesheet Actuals."
  2. Create a child EPS node., Save.
  3. In the OBS (same structure as the EPS), create a new OBS. Save.
  4. Back to Projects View and attempt to change the current RM of the new EPS to the newly created OBS. Save.
  5. Error message seen:
    "Unable to save changes
    You do not have the Privileges to save the Project(s)."
