AMI Meter Status Persists Even If The Most Recent Response From AMI Meter Is "unknown"

The Automated Meter Information (AMI) meter status persists even if the most recent response from AMI meter is "unknown" This is giving false information to an operator that the meter is "ON" even if the most recent AMI meter response if "Unknown"
Expect that the AMI meter status should update when a meter status changes
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1.) Power on meter
2.) Open AMI customer list in Outage Management System (OMS) with meter in it
3.) Highlight meter and click AMI Confirm
4.) Refresh list until status changes to “ON”
5.) Power off meter
6.) Wait an amount of time equal or greater than 5 minutes (with current configuration)
7.) Highlight meter and click AMI Confirm
8.) Power status will remain “ON”, regardless of how many times you refresh or how long you wait.
