How to Increase Runtime Performance Through Preloading the Cache? (Doc ID 2435757.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 15, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Knowledge - Version 8.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

As the runtime processes questions it builds a cache into the index.  This cache makes question answering a lot faster.  If there are certain words or phrases that make questions slow after synch when the index and cache are reset, then it may be worth looking at building the cache on the indexer during the crawl.  Then when it is synched it will be faster on these preloaded terms.

This function is available in 8.6.1 onward.
