Messages in Sent Folder of Convergence Appear in Bold Text (Doc ID 2439942.1)

Last updated on MARCH 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Mobile Synchronization Gateway - Version 8.0.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Convergence / Thunderbird, the "Sent" folder shows all emails as being already read - ie. they are not in bold text like a new message would be in the INBOX.

When using a mobile device with Mobile Sync Gateway to send a message, upon checking the "Sent" folder of Convergence, these emails are seen in bold text - ie. as if they were "unread" in the "Sent" folder of Convergence or Thunderbird.

This issue happens for all mobile device users (iPhone, Android (Samsung A3)).

From a series of imcheck tests performed, one can see discrepancy in the SFlags that are set when comparing Convergence behavior to the behavior of Mobile Sync Gateway.

Comparing the SFlags of the Sent folder after a message has been sent from a mobile device:

Convergence:  SFlags are shown as "NS" (read).

Mobile Sync Gateway:  SFlags are shown as "N"

Reference on SFlags: System flags
