ECO Affected Items Tab Description Field Not Updated Even Mapped (Doc ID 2441255.1)

Last updated on JULY 28, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Agile PLM MCAD Connector - Version 3.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Actual Behavior
Issue is reproduced on Agile PLM 9.3.5.3 with MCAD 3.5.

We have mapped Design Object attribute "Description" and Item Object attribute "Description" on CAD Property attribute "Part Name" through CAD
Connector Mapping Editor.

CAD Property attribute "Part Name" is set on 3D file (Part, Assembly) only.

On Agile Web Client, create a new ECO. Add a released part to affected items tab of ECO.On SOLIDWORKS Part file , update "Part Name" and checkin to Agile
along with drawing, the ECO "Description" field located in ECO affected items tab does not get updated.

Also, when moving to Parts Relationship tab in Agile, the drawing "Description" field is updated, although "Part Name" was not set to Drawing Property.

Expected Behavior
The ECO "Description" field located in ECO affected items tab should get updated. Also, when moving to Parts Relationship tab in Agile, the drawing
"Description" field should not get updated since "Part Name" is not set to Drawing Property.

Step
1. On Agile Web Client, create a new ECO. Add a released part to affected items tab of ECO.
2. On SOLIDWORKS Part file , update "Part Name"
3. On SOLIDWORKS drawing file, update attribute but "Part Name" is not set here (note that on drawing file "Part Name" is not mapped)
4. On drawing file perform "Save Preview"
5. On Agile Web Client , on the ECO affected item tab the "Description" attribute for its item is not updated.
6. On Agile Web Client , go to Part Relationship tab. On drawings Design "Description" it is updated.
