Details

Oracle Agile PLM and AutoVue requires deployment technologies such as Java Applet and Java Web Start (e.g. for Java client, Gantt, AutoVue), however Java Applet is deprecated in Java SE 9 and Java Web Start will be removed from Java SE 11 (18.9 LTS) and later.

Actions

Continue to use Java SE 8 for clients. At this point, Oracle Agile PLMand AutoVue will continue to certify with Java 8 on the client for the near to mid-term.

Regarding support for Java SE 8 and availability of Java 8 updates to customers going forward, customers of Oracle applications that have a dependency on Java and its deployment technologies (including Oracle Agile PLM and AutoVue) are granted an entitlement for Java 8 support and updates through My Oracle Support (MOS), which should continue to be available until at least March 2025.
