WebLogic Error: "OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded" (Doc ID 2442982.1)

Goal

The Customer is using ASAP 7.3.0.3 and WebLogic 12.2.1.3. It was noticed during a high peak load that WebLogic is consuming a high amount of memory and eventually crashes. The time it takes WebLogic to encounter this issue depends on the WLS JVM heapsize. The higher the heap, the longer (several more hours) it takes for WebLogic to throw the error. 

The error thrown by WebLogic is:

"java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded."
