Information in this document applies to any platform.
Customers would like to know the impact on all the billing batch jobs (Batch utilities like pin_bill_accts, multithreaded applications (MTAs) etc) when database server/service is completely unavailable for few minutes due to disaster.
Billing is in Progress.
Database has become unavailable for sometime.
Stand-alone database server without RAC implementation.
TNS level Load balancer.
Are all the Out Of the Box (OOTB) billing utilities resilient to this situation?
Will all batch utilities wait for the database to come up and retry from same point where it was stopped?
