Error 'Print job has failed' When Printing to PDF from P6 Web (Doc ID 2446081.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to print to PDF via the P6 Web Save to PDF feature, the job fails and the following error occurs in the log file (via the View Service Status list):

Print Job has failed. Please contact your System Administrator.

The following error is also noted in the <Oracle Middleware home>\user_projects\domains\<P6 EPPM domain>\servers\P6\logs\p6.log file:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login P6 Web and navigate to Projects > EPS.
  2. Open the project.
  3. Click Save to PDF.
  4. In PDF Options select a paper type/size.
  5. Click Save to PDF.
  6. Observe the reported issue.
