Item Lookup Returns Inventory Records For Non-Ranged Locations (Doc ID 2448481.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 24, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 16.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Retail Store Inventory Management (RSIM),  all items including not ranged to the location are being displayed when Including Non-Ranged is selected. Results should only display items from within the location as Inventory search types should only yield results from within the location (available vs unavailable). It should only display unavailable items in this scenario.

For inventory status the system is retrieving items based upon inventory, which does not exist for a non ranged item, so the system can not return non ranged items when searching by inventory status. The include non ranged check box should be disabled when doing by available or unavailable inventory item lookup.

Steps to Reproduce :

1. Navigate to Lookups > Item Lookup
2. Change the search type to Inventory in the drop down box
3. Change the Inventory Status to Unavailable in the drop down box
4. Enter some search criteria from the Merchandise Hierarchy
6. Check the box for Include non-ranged
7. Select Search
