Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - Version 8.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure (OFSAAI)
Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT)
Oracle Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP)
Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management (ALM)

Goal

Before upgrading environment to 8.0.6, attempting to create a new lab / dry run environment using cloning current/source environment. Referring to OFSAA Cloning Reference guide available at https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E61555_01/homepage.htm on page 5, section 1.1.3 (Target System), the following statement from the cloning guide needs to be clarified:

"All basic software required for installation of OFSAA applications (including infrastructure) are installed and working on the machine identified as the Target OFSAA instance. You can use the “Environment Check” utility to verify the system readiness.
For details on Software and Hardware Requirements, refer the respective OFSAA Application Pack Installation and Configuration Guide available in OTN."

What are the "basic software requirements" for OFSAA applications (including infrastructure) for cloning ? Does this means OFSAA AAI Infrastructure installation is required before starting Cloning process? Or does this mean, that only Prerequisites software installation like Java, Oracle Client, Web Server is required?
