2.6.0.1 : No Warning/error If Entered Step Tiers/ Threshold Ranges Are With Gaps /overlapping (Doc ID 2450642.1)

Symptoms

On : ORMB 2.6.0.1.0 version, RT - Rates

No warning/error if entered Step tiers/ threshold ranges are with gaps /overlapping.
Tested this scenario with Approval WORKFLOW - ON.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

While doing price assignment if user selects rate schedule as Threshold or with Step tier and entered ranges are with Gaps or are overlapping then it is expected that system should throw Error/Warning to indicate user about the same.
But in 2.6.0.1 there is no any warning/issue is been thrown. Pricing details gets saved successfully

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

While submitting such pricing details System should throw error/warning to indicate user that pricing tiers entered are with gaps or are overlapping

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1)Enter data in effective pricing screen:
2)Enter rate component details for step 1 and give ti6ring range from 0 to 12000.
3)Enter rate component details for step 1 and give next tiering range from 15000 to 35000. (with Gap in end range value of First tier and start of next tier)
4)Enter rate component details for step 1 and give tiring range from 25000 to 999999999 (Over lapping range from previous tiring criteria )
5)Click on submit button: Pricing details with Gap or Overlapping tiering ranges gets saved successfully and approval ID gets generated.
  Expected : While submitting such pricing details System should throw error/warning to indicate user that pricing tiers entered are with gaps or are overlapping
6)Login with Approval id :
7)Approve above transaction.
8)Effective Pricing is showing as active status:
