Last updated on MAY 13, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.4.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 7.4 MPS2 version, Pipeline Manager

Pipeline discounting/Charge Sharing is not calculating step charge correctly for discount rule having below configuration :

 Drum Expression =TotalQ
Rule type =tired and Drum type is Quantity has a step from 0 to Bal(1000026).

For above discount rule expectation is StepC should be returned for the charge falling in Step, instead of Returning Charge pipeline is returning Step Quantity.

In below discount trace for rule DR,  StepC is returned as 16 where as it should be returned as 0, as TotalC is 0 and there should not be any charge for this Step.

This is happening after upgrading to pipeline 7.4MPS2

Snippet of discount trace.
